Do you practically implement the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in your daily life?

Leading a life in the true spirituality of Islamic teachings makes your life peaceful and successful. If you recite daily duas and keep learning a Hadith regularly, and also start implementing the teachings in your daily life, you are undoubtedly successful in this life and the hereafter.

These are not just to remember but are a complete code of life. We can seek guidance on every small matter of our daily life through these Hadiths and Quranic teachings. These daily duas are meant for bringing barakh in our routine life.

Why Daily Duas Matter

Daily duas are not only a part of our life, but they bring barakah as we seek Allah’s help in our routine life matters. As we ask Allah for help in our small matter, there is no chance that we will be misguided or bear loss in our daily dealings.

Our religion has taught us a simple dua that we can recite every time before doing anything in our daily life. Like we are taught to recite “Bismillah” at the beginning of any task for Allah’s help and blessings. Bismillah is praising Allah and remembering at the beginning of starting a new task, it can be anything like beginning our day, cooking, opening a business day, or even before changing clothes.

The Role of Hadith in Daily Life

As it’s said that our dearly Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) has taught us guidance for every aspect of life, and his life is all a practical implementation of the Qurani teachings. Hadiths are the sayings and practical examples from the life of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

We gain multiple benefits by incorporating the Hadiths in our daily lives. As we implement daily hadiths in our lives, practically, we put effort into leading our lives according to the teachings and examples of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). We develop good character, maintain discipline, and earn continuous rewards.

He has left us with many Hadiths, a few of which are as follows:

On smiling: “Your smile for your brother is charity.” (Tirmidhi)

On helping others: “The best of people are those that bring most benefit to others.” (Daraqutni)

On good manners: “The most complete of believers in faith are those with the best character.” (Abu Dawood)

On remembering Allah: “Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah.” (Tirmidhi)

On kindness: “He who does not show mercy to our young or respect to our elders is not one of us.” (Tirmidhi)

Practical Duas for Daily Routine

1- Dua Upon Waking Up and Before Sleeping

Our religion has taught us that dua should be the last thing to recite when we go to sleep is ٱللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ  أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا.

Meaning, “In Your name, O Allah, I die and live.”

When you wake up, recite  ٱلْـحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ. This means, “All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the return.”

2- Duas to Recite Before and After Eating

Recite the dua before eating. The dua is بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى بَرَكَةِ اللَّه. This means “In the name of Allah, and upon the blessings of Allah.”

When we finish eating say, ٱلْـحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ. It means, “All praise is for Allah who fed us, gave us drink, and made us Muslims.”

3- Dua Before Taking Off and Putting Clothes On

Seek Allah’s protection, saying, بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ, when you take off clothes. This means, “In the name of Allah, besides Whom there is no deity (worthy of worship).”

We should say, ٱلْـحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا (ٱلثَّوْبَ) وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِّنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ when we put on clothes. This means, “All praise is for Allah who clothed me with this garment and provided it for me without any power or strength from myself.”

4- Dua Before Drinking Milk

We should recite, ٱللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَزِدْنَا مِنْهُ when we drink milk. It means “O Allah, bless it for us and increase it for us.”

5- Dua Before Leaving Home

We should seek Allah’s protection before leaving our home. The dua is  بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ. It means, “In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.”

All these daily duas mean that we put our trust in Allah for every small matter of our life and ask for his guidance and protection.

Conclusion

The daily duas have multiple benefits in our lives. They strengthen our belief as we recall Allah and seek His help and guidance. They bring us mental peace as we believe that nothing can happen beyond the commands of Allah. We seek Allah’s protection by reciting these daily duas. And we practice gratitude and humility through daily duas.
